Why Altair Group?

At Altair, you’ll be part of a rapidly growing, nationally recognized firm that was recently named one of New Hampshire’s Best Companies to Work For.

Altair Group was built on the idea of doing things differently. After years at mid-sized and Big 4 firms, our three founders set out to build an employee-focused firm—one that delivers challenging, rewarding work in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment. And we have the awards to prove it!

Our Awards

  • Ranked #14 Best Company to Work For in New Hampshire by Business NH Magazine

  • Named to the Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies

For a boutique firm founded eight years ago, these milestones reflect both our entrepreneurial spirit and our commitment to building an extraordinary culture.

What Makes Us Different?

  • Culture First: At Altair, we believe great work starts with great people—and great people thrive in a team-focused culture that cares. We celebrate together, embrace flexibility, and work hard to create an environment where people feel supported, appreciated, and part of the team.

  • A Team That Values Every Role: We know a great firm is not built by technical professionals alone. Our administrative and operations team play a critical role in helping the firm run smoothly, supporting our people, and creating a better experience for everyone.

  • Growth You Can Feel: Altair is growing quickly, and with that growth comes the opportunity to help shape how the firm operates. You’ll join a team where your ideas, organization, and follow-through can make a real difference.

  • Recognition & Rewards: We believe great work deserves to be celebrated. Along with competitive compensation and benefits, we recognize both personal and team achievements with surprise bonuses and meaningful appreciation in a team-first environment.

Your Role

As an Executive Assistant at Altair Group, you will work directly with firm partners to manage workflow, reduce administrative burden, and ensure day-to-day responsibilities are executed with consistency and care. This role will also involve using technology, systems, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, organize information, and help keep partner work moving.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable keeping busy professionals on track. You will help manage calendars, inboxes, task lists, follow-ups, meeting preparation, and project-related support so that partners can stay focused on strategic and client-facing initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage partner calendars, schedule meetings, resolve conflicts, and protect partner time.

  • Monitor and triage emails, prioritize communications, and draft responses when appropriate.

  • Maintain task lists, track deadlines, and follow up with partners and staff to ensure items are completed.

  • Prepare meeting agendas, capture action items, and ensure follow-through after meetings.

  • Keep project work moving by identifying stalled items, prompting next steps, and ensuring partners do not become bottlenecks.

  • Create order around recurring administrative workflows and help maintain organized systems.

  • Handle sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.

This role will work within a clear internal structure: the Partners and Operations Manager will help define priorities and direction, while the Executive Assistant will drive execution, follow-through, and escalation when needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Prior experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role supporting executives, partners, or senior leaders.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • A proactive, execution-focused mindset.

  • Strong follow-through and the ability to close loops without constant direction.

  • Confidence following up with busy professionals and respectfully pushing for clarity, decisions, and next steps.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities without becoming reactive or overwhelmed.

  • High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems, tools, and workflows.

  • Experience using AI tools, or a strong interest in using AI to work more efficiently, organize information, draft communications, and support partner productivity.

  • A low-ego, team-first approach and willingness to jump in where needed.

  • Ability to work full time in office at our Bedford, NH location

The ideal candidate is not someone who waits to be told what to do. We are looking for someone who anticipates needs, notices gaps, keeps tasks moving, and takes pride in making the people around them more effective.

Compensation & Benefits

We want our team members to feel supported both at work and outside of work. Altair offers competitive compensation and a benefits package that includes firm paid support for health, dental, life and disability insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, paid holidays, and opportunities for training and professional development.

Why Make the Move Now?

At many firms, administrative roles are reactive, narrowly defined, or disconnected from the firm’s bigger goals. At Altair, this isn’t a support role — it’s a strategic partnership.

You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with firm leadership, help create structure in a growing business, and play a key role in making the firm run more smoothly. If you are highly organized, calm under pressure, and energized by helping leaders stay focused and effective, we’d love to talk.
